About two years ago on behalf of my architect friend; Aliyar, the leader of Azadi, was offered to hold a joint event on the subject of digital media. , An event that tried to explain the importance of digital media with a digital performance, especially in the field of architecture for the community, by mapping detailed interviews with a number of Iranian architects and urban planners active in the field of media on space and most importantly It was done in a certain order that the type of arrangement and arrangement that took place in that space forced the audience to use their senses to understand the importance of digital media, especially in a multidimensional subject such as architecture.One of our biggest problems at the time was the social value that the architectural community attached to a digital media, while in terms of effort, producing our media content (for example, Iranian Architecture Magazine) with more than 200 pages without advertising. And the graphics, which had to be both different and more attractive because of the nature of a digital media, were far more difficult and laborious than a print media. Well, in every way, a digital media can be considered more valuable, more content and more attractive than the usual media… As you all know, media like and… Times, which are the most important magazines in the world, have been presented online for a long time. Lower opening and higher visual quality.
If your question is why then the two digital media of the Institute for Strategic Studies of Architecture, one of which is Barsav and the other Iranian architecture and also Mehraz media is no longer seen, I can only answer from my two media, we have an expert editorial board , Elite and very concerned and efficient, we could not provide the necessary financial resources in terms of advertising (due to lack of public understanding of the impact of such media for their advertising) and you need to know that our magazines were offered completely free in the first two editions To be able to help establish it in the community and not take the opportunity to use valuable content from the community.
Of course, this does not mean that our magazines will not start again, but with the experience it gained, it will definitely start working better than before, but I wrote all this to say under the pretext that media enthusiasts and activists in architecture and urban planning It is good to produce digital media, it causes a slight increase and development, but it is very bad that they do not observe the quality and see it only as a normal pdf from the task; Because two hundred percent makes this type of media less valuable and the public does not trust it. Those who are interested can at least imitate the quality of our magazines or Mehraz or… which has the minimum standards and I will personally support all of them. .
